 Over
the past 10 years there have been sporadic reports of UFO events
resembling circles and swirls of bars and/or lights, often dominating
huge portions of the night sky - at time these have perhaps resembled
crop circles in the sky - hence the name of Sky Circles that is
sometimes used.
It is very noticeable over the past couple
of years that such reports are on the increase, although it has to be
considered that the technology to produce laser or light shows is
getting smaller and cheaper, and therefore into more common usage.
That said, laser shows should be registered with and licensed by the FAA
(for obvious aircraft safety reasons) and notified to the local police -
it is suspected that few organisers of events attempt to comply with
these requirements.
Below we depict representations* of the
types of events that have been reported - there is no doubt these must
look very spectacular, although they have a mundane explanation.
* As yet we have no photos or video - while
obvious to the naked eye, the intensity and contrast of the light isn't
easy for cameras or camcorders
