August 2007 - Wells next the Sea "We were on holiday in north Norfolk earlier this month at the Pinewoods site (Wells next the Sea, Norfolk) and were travelling back there around 11.15 at night, somewhere between Holt and Wells, when we saw a formation of strange lights. I think the likeliest explanation was some kind of advanced laser display. They looked quite faint, several hundred feet up, pulsed and gathered into a swirl - a bit like a crop circle - across quite a large expanse of sky, and appeared for about 30 seconds, at regular intervals of about the same time. I rang BBC Radio Norfolk next day and asked on air if anyone had seen them as well/could identify them, but wasn't able to follow the show as we were out in the car when I the called me and our radio doesn't work. But they are posting me a recording of show. They also appeared - this time there were two formations, one after other - the following night and I watched them from our lodge on the site. I'm pretty sure I could see from time to time though what appeared to be beams coming from the ground though - which would probably confirm my theory of course. But intriguing nonetheless." |
